On Monday the 7th of October the bike trip from Brassus (the Vallée de Joux, Switzerland) to Cabranes begins, a journey of over 1600km in 21 days!
In the Vallée de Joux, resonant wood is found for the manufacturing of musical instruments.This wood is essential for the restoration of a grand piano from 1873 which will help finance part of the Anima Mundi project…
In Asturias there is a 10% of the population with some disability. In case those people are exclusively dependent on their family for care there exist the following concern;
What will happen to the family member with special needs once you can not provide the necessary care.
Our desire as parent would be that our children can continue their lives in a homely environment that would substitute the family situation.
The objective from Anima Mundi is to create a residential home for these people, a warm haven where the people feel at home.
It’s concerning the way we relate to the residents as much as within the team. If society has lost values, we will restore- or make them work on the basis of confidence and solidarity.
We will work towards the aim that after the family members or tutors come to visit they will return home in tranquility over the well being of their child.
The project is ambitious and broad. Only with the external help and contribution will we be able to complete the challenge which will mark a new era in Asturias and the beginning of a future for that 10% of the population.
